I was always interested in things mechanical

I actually applied to to a trade course in motor mechanics. The head of the automotive trades school saw my high school results and felt I would be wasted there, so passed my application on to the head of the school of Mechanical Engineering. I was offered a place in the Mechanical Engineering course and never looked back.

My first position was as a Senior Detail Draughtsman 2nd Year, and was the best grounding I could have had as an engineer.

I then moved on through a number of companies with roles as a Professional Engineer which included the role of Product Development Engineer with Dexion (Australia) Pty Ltd.

I am a MIEAust, CPEng, and am in the process of becoming a RPEQ.
