I currently work as a mechanical design engineer for pressurized water/wastewater systems such as pumping stations. I also have planning role in asset management where I look at proposing solutions for asset replacement or upgrades such as replacement of water reservoirs and upgrades of water pumping stations.

I like my role as it entails the interaction of mechanical engineering with fluid/hydraulic engineering, both subjects which I enjoy

Leading to my current role, I studied mechanical engineering with the course focusing more on fluid and thermodynamics. I worked most of my career as a mechanical design engineer for infrastructure design consultancies I also spent couple of years working in building services engineering which broadened my mechanical design and design management experience
