What is Power Generation & Distribution Engineering?

This area of engineering powers our homes and industry.

Power engineers plan, develop, test, install, use and maintain power plants or stations that provide electric power; and also plan the transmission of that power to where it is needed – be it cities, towns, railway lines, large businesses or industry.

Power engineers also conduct research into alternative power sources such as solar and wind energy.
